cam install... how do i correct it?
hey,
Firstly did a sr16 cam install and thought it was complete until when checking the timing with the timing light (in timing mode, got a calum) the 15* marker is at the point that the distributer is fulllllly retarded (not in the middle as we know it should be)... I assume that means the timing is off, what do i adjust?

oh the car starts and runs but is literally slower than my stock de, lol.

Secondly, I also got a set of custom steel cam gears im interested testing on the dyno, eventually...
I honestly cant find instructions on the best way to adjust em... anyone wanna give me some tips/instructions? do you pull the gears off the cam and turn the cam via the hex to advance or retard?

also just to confirm... the 0* on the VE stock crank pulley is the second mark from the left correct? 1st being -5*?

Yes, the second mark from the left is 0* even with the VE pulley. Put the motor back to tdc and recheck the timing marks on the sprockets and the number of links between the two dots on the sprockets.

Did you get 11 spaces between each cam?
