Intake solenoid not activating ? Bearing problem if no VVL is activated ?
Hello there ! Just a quick question about the SR20VE cam solenoids...
-Sometimes i feel the VVL kick in the 4500+rpm range, sometimes i dont. Intake Solenoid test with engine off, clicks less audible than the exhaust in engine off test ( i know i should have tried at idle activating them but i was on the highway). Exhaust solenoid is working and engaging because it becomes louder in 6000rpm....
-I had a problem also with my connecting rod bearings spun after that test run.
- If my solenoids are not activated does my connecting rods getting damaged by higher oil pressure or thats just a rumor ?
Thanks !

No chance your connecting rods were damaged by too much oil pressure. There really is no such thing as too much oil pressure when it comes to lubricating the connecting rods. If people are saying such things, it's a pretty baseless rumor.
