Thread: SR20VE Exhaust manifold gasket

I am about to replaced my exhaust manifold on my ve, I heard metal gaskets are best but can any one tell me if this one will hold up? i already got it so just wondering if its any good. Pic below

It should. FWIW here's what I would do. Go ahead and use it, but plan on switching to the multi-layer metal he gasket. I've had some of those graphite gaskets hold up well, and I've had some not last a month.

Those cheap gaskets with the dimples all over it are garbage. They rarely ever seal properly and usually fall apart and separate after a few months. Cheap Chinese gaskets.

I've had my mls gasket for years, reused several times now with no issues

If you already have the part, no point in not giving it a chance as its money already spent. If it fails, buy a mls to replace it. Simple, easy, cheap, logical.
