Sr20de with VE head swap.
Hey know it's been done already, read something about it but what's the pros and cons to doing this ? Can I expect some good power gains once I start modding ? Anyone know of some good gains from this already ? And where should I start modding ? Maybe N1 cams ? Thanx for any help.

Did you read why they would not work? Or search further to find out why N1 cams will not work on the DE bottom end?

And reply was

"It should be OK up to SR16VE Cams, I wouldn't recommend using N1 cams though, unless your have valve reliefs in the pistons."

What are your end goals, what will your setup consist of?

Please understand that you will have to do your own research as folks around here will not hold your hand and walk you down the road.

They will help, but not hold your hand.

You will likely have valve clearance using N1 cams on a DE bottom end as others has noted. You will need aftermarket VE pistons with valve reliefs already in them.

Hey basically I have someone who can do this swap for me. I would've just like to know how good this type of swaps are. And I was thinking maybe than they would've taken the pistons out and pocket them for clearance. I see you guys mentioning the ve engine swap would be actually much cheaper . But here I think would be the other way around. The cars here never got the ve engines standard in cars I think so I know lots of guys need to buy imported engines ..

Can you get a VE head for less than half the price of the entire VE engine? The USA never got any VE but we import them like crazy.

What you read was correct about the DE pistons will work fine with normal SR20VE camshafts, but the N1s have much more lift that the pistons will need valve reliefs for those N1 camshafts.
