But here I think would be the other way around. The cars here never got the ve engines standard in cars I think so I know lots of guys need to buy imported engines ..

Can you get a VE head for less than half the price of the entire VE engine? The USA never got any VE but we import them like crazy.
What you read was correct about the DE pistons will work fine with normal SR20VE camshafts, but the N1s have much more lift that the pistons will need valve reliefs for those N1 camshafts.
