Thread: 20v valve cover hose to block replacement

Some of you may have noticed that this part is no longer available new from nissan.

This can be an issue for those who don't want a stupid loop in the front of the motor from using a non molded hose.

Luckily, anyone with a knife can have an oem looking replacement. Dayco part number dac-87798 will fit perfectly once trimmed to size.

Cut some extra length after the "m" section of the hose then further trim the ends to taste.

I got mine from amazon for about $16.

I hose can do 2 valve covers, but will be slightly different between the 2. I prefer the m section rather than the c

Great find. I like how the 'M' section dips back into the block...tighter fit and would provide slightly more room for turbos too.

They still produce/sell the VET block to VC hose too. It is a slightly different shape than the 20v version.
