Thread: SR20VE Idle Issue

I have an Idle issue with my VE, at idle it likes to flux between 1500-1750 constantly back and forth. Car runs fine its just at idle at stops. I'm wondering if it is the AAC Valve. Any advice would help.

gunna assume its stock with a stock t/b and ecu?

first thing is to made sure you have no unmetered air getting in there, so check all your hoses and t/b intake pipe for leaks
second thing is to check your tps value at idle (should be 0.45-0.5v) . thats the probable thing. there is a point by point proper way of adjusting this if its out.
if its more, than you have to "lock the timing" after its warm (see manifesto),reset its value, and while your there,check/reset the timing (ve is 5deg at idle) , then only after those 2 are right, and while the timing is still locked, adjust the iacv (wind in the black screw) until it hits 825-900.

Do you have coolant lines running to the throttle body?
