Thread: SR16ve trans ??`

I was looking at Evilbay and I saw there was a SR16ve trans ...just thought I woul post it he seems like a nice guy I found out he is G20.net not a bad deal really

good tranny for autox, but horrible for street driving in my experience. way too short of gearing unless you love having your ears bleed.

at 70mph on the freeway I was at like 5500rpm in fifth gear!

i love the ratio's in mine.
not best for fuel economy, 3500rpm @110km/hr (Max legal speed here in oz)

You musta been in 3rd gear lol... the SR16 gear box is not that short @ 62mph id be at 3000rpm

at 60mph my 16ve tranny is at about 3k rpm

1st is short everything else is fine after that

Mine was ok, yes I did exaggerate, but the 5th gear in the sr16 tranny felt like 4th gear in my p11 tranny. I would be over 4500rpm at 80mph. I think I hit 125mph in 5th at 7k.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, the guy offers no guarantee what-so-ever on parts. You buy at your own risk and too bad if it doesn't function. No thanks!

Bossman.. dont mean to knock on you again... but I was @ 125km/h(77.6mph) 3rd gear @ 6500rpm. No way u goin be over 4500rpm in 5th for jus 80mph



Exactly first is short, took me to 60km/h (37.2mph) where as my Se-R takes me to about 40mph... well the difference aint that big
