Thread: VVL distributor problems

Hi,
Some questions regarding a VE distributor:

First,
Because my distributor is smashed during transporting the engine, i was wondering what the other options are to mount a distributor. Or does only a VE fits the mounting holes?

Second,
The VE is going to be mounted in a N14 Sunny/Pulsar with a oldskool highport, that distributor has only 4 wires to it and 2 wires to a seperated coil, im i right that in the lowport and VE the seperated coil is inside the distributor?
The VE has 8 wires and i only got 4 + 2 in the loom, whats needed here?

For the first question, just get a DE distributor and cut the bottom ear off and it will fit, like I did with mine:

Second, reuse your high port harness and everything will play nice and easy. Use the old coil also so you can use a b13 dizzy.
