vvl activation with ecu 4g ???
Hi. I have a nissan b13 engine SR20VE with 4g ecu. I want to use the signal sent by the ECU to activate the intake cam to activate both cams simultaneously. the signal sent to the 4600 rpm. someone who did. be short of power

The ecu side is a ground lift switch, and the other side is switched 12v... wire power to one side of the solenoid ground to the desired pin. I'm switching both off of egr solenoid output which is the same concept as far as wiring goes. You can run both solenoids off the same pin.

depends on your setup. most guys are closer to 5k, and guys running higher than stock compression 6-6.5k rpm.

dyno is the best place to find out

If the ecu is programmed to switch that pin at 4600, then yes.

Stock 4g ecu activates intake cam at 5900 rpm and exhaust at 6100...Only with daughterboard can be programmed to activate solenoids earlier.

couple questions is this an automatic ecu obd1 off of an ve?

Apologize for off topic, kinda in the same boat , will this be a plug&play? Any rewiring needed for this ecu to work?
