camshaft change ?
Hello guys , can someone help me please.
I try to put the sr16ve N1 cams on my SR20ve engine -
I appears that my SR20VE engine is with mechanical lifters, not hydraulic,
and there is a need for some valve adjusting caps ?
Can someone help me where I can purchase those or am I doing something wrong ?
And what should be the valve lash ?

N1 cams are drop in replacement for sr20ve ones. all sr20 vvl motors use shims not hydraulic lifters. you will (most probably) not need to re-shim to suit these new cams.
there are available from multiple places (ebay, gspec, ptendevelopments etc)

where are you situated?

I live in Europe, in Estonia.
Can I use the same shims as in SR20DE motor ?
Do you have some product number, or what name to I put in search ?
and do you know what should be the max. valve lash ?

Ve don't have lifters. The rocker is on a pivot bar

Install the n1s and check clearances and adjust to the above lash measurements, most people here install n1s and don't bother adjusting.

You can use de shims and machine them down to suit if needed

with the AUD tanking hard, I'd check out taarks.com for n1 cams. I calculated less than $300 US shipped to me in the USA last time I looked. Damn good deal for brand new cams. their bosch 2000cc injectors are also a tasty deal.
