I have a fairly open-ended question for you guys though;

Say you have about $400 dollars leftover after purchasing your "new" SR20VE engine, what else do you buy with the extra $400 to improve performance?
I figure while the engine is out and everything, now would be the time to dump the rest of my "car funds" into the VE.

Thanks!

Oh and by the way, my cars a 1991 P10.

Things to look for if you have a choice of motors. Make sure your VVL Switching Solenoids aren't "weeping". Unplug the Connectors and look down inside the Connection area (where the two male pins are) to see if there is oil residue. If its clean and dry you have a better chance.

Cheers

I've got one local option that I might drive too and pick up if I rent a truck. Other option is ordering online and getting the VE shipped to my mechanic. So I don't think I'll really have a chance to take a thorough look at which I end up purchasing unfortunately.
That's good still some good info to know though, thank you sir.

Is there any merit to cop conversion if i'm not really going to be taking the car to the tracks much or driving too-too aggresively? Don't get me wrong I want to enjoy the VE but mostly it's just for my fun little daily driver.
Still though how much would you be looking for , $$ , for the parts and nismo? PM me if you want
