SR20VE cam switching solenoids P11 P12 VET differences
I was wondering if anyone has checked all three types of cam solenoid(s) if they can be swapped between P11 and P12 type VE heads and switch on VVL for both cams. I just noticed on the VET that the exhaust doesn't switch but it looks like just because the rockers don't have the oil hole drilled and deleted the center lobe rocker pad. But does the single VET solenoid switch both cams just like the 20v P12 solenoid?

The P12 NA VVL solenoid switches both cams

The P11 NA VVL dual solenoids switch both cams independently

The Xtrail VET Solenoid switches the intake only. But if you change the ex rockers does it switch both?

Guess I'll have to figure it out...

Found more information on the solenoids. Going to pull my VET solenoid and verify if it is exactly the same as the P12 SR20VE.

P11 SR20VE solenoids (2) PN 23796-1N51B
P12 SR20VE Solenoid (1) PN 23796-8H60A

Pulled the VET solenoid off. It is the same as the P12 NA solenoid. When I put pressure on the feed and hook power to the solenoid it opens both IN and EX cam holes. Also note that my IN and EX markings on the picture are backwards. I got turned around and flipped them...
