SR20VET camshaft condition and clearance ?
Hey !
I have in my garage a SR20VET from jdm X-trail and have taken today valve cover off to measure valve clearance.
Take a look what do you think about this camshaft lobes is it bad or ?
These pictures is all from exhaust side lobes , intake side lobes is in better condition !

One more question is from where i need to check clearance with feelergauge , over rockerarm and camshaft lobe or rockerarm and shim ?

Throw some normal rockers on the EX side to use vvl on the EX. Then check the clearances.

Will it be better if i throw normal VE rockers on EX side ? Then i need also a new vvl valve assamble with 2 vvl control valves !
If this mode worth this money to do so ?

Yes it will be, even tho the high lobe isn't used in the Xtrail, its has more duration. One thing that is overlooked with these cams. The exhaust cam is an awesome turbo cam when used in its full form.

The Xtrail SR20VET Exhaust cam has 244º 11.3mm on the low and 280º 11.15mm on the high. They are NOT the same, you can physically see the difference in the lobes if you take the cam out.
