seeking advice on Hesitation during acceleration
i have a 1992 SE-R that i did a sr20ve swap about 2.5 years back, i have had no issues with it till about 3 months back.

the swap is sr20ve with VE dizzy and stock B-13 ECU - the engine has always ran strong with no issues (granted the stock ecu has held it back from its full potential but has never caused any issues).

the issue started about 3 months back, while i am accelerating it starts to hesitate/slight buck (almost as if the rev limiter is cutting in) from about 4500 up to 6000 rpms. the issue has gotten worse and worse and now it does it from a low 2500 rpm and up. I changed the dizzy cap and rotor and the issue went again for a couple of weeks but then came back doing the same thing. its still drive-able but it gets annoying with the slight bucks that it gives.

i have gave it a tune up - new plugs - new wires - new cap and rotor- cleaned maf- checked for leaking vacuum - new fuel filter -

have any of you VE owners felt this issue? i am leaning towards a faulty coil inside the VE dizzy (maybe a bad maf?), i have all the stock b-13 dizzy that i could swap to test.

this is during load only, if i am in neutral i can rev with no issues at all.

what you all think could be happening?

i was able to locate the DE distributor to install on the engine to test the VE dizzy, the only thing i dont have is the resistor. would any of you know the value of this resistor?

Fuel pump is stock 1992 super old, come to think of it when I replaced the cap and rotor i replaced the filter at the same time so I wonder if it started working normal for those couple of weeks was cause of the new filter. I should replace that aged pump before removing the ve dizzy and swapping over to the de

I just went through similar conditions with the GA. It was the MAF.

Bad wiring or loose wiring, check the ECU as well and IIACV
