Max rpm stock conrod bolts?
Hello,

Whats the max rpm for the oem sr20ve conrod bolts? And when do you mount ARP bolts to make sure its better than OEM.
Power or hp doenst kill a conrodbolt but high rpm will be able to break it.

Thank you!

9K seems to be standard with no issues, using ARP bolts is a good idea though.

Ok thats good to know and Ofcourse, but i was hoping to leave the pistons at its place so thats makes changing them to ARP a bit harder. Any sugestions about how to change them still in place

Many are going to 9K on a stock bottom end. I think you are fine, if you were already in there i would do them.

Take off the oil pans and change them??? Not sure how it's harder with the pistons in place.

Surprisingly, the stock rod bolts are pretty stout. I've spun the engine over 9,000 rpm all the time. Never heard of anybody snapping them, but have seen the rods bend. Ask Payu.

Not going to happen. You're not going to get rod bolts out by having the rods in the engine.

@mirrortint, nope. Thats easyer sad than done. Those's mofu's are only coming out after some heavy pressure or pounding.
@KillerKrossover, oke, thanks for the info. Ill use the stock ones than.

9200RPM assuming the motor is running well, as in synthetic oil w/ regular changes, and everything else, your cooling system especially, is up to par. wouldn't do it everyday, and few SR20's make power that high anyway - but if yours does go for it once you go into 9400RPM+ territory it's pretty much a gamble. you'd have to get some sort of rev limiting software or a REALLY accurate tach, never depend on the stock tach
