Thread: SR20VE Bucking

My Ve Runs fine and idles fine right at 800-900 rpm climbs thru the Revs smooth in first gear but once in second its a different story revs fine too 5k rpm this is where my switch is set to activate once VVL engages the car bucks real bad also to the point where i feel engine will jump out the hood ... what could be causing this

what ecu?

What ecu, tune and what's controlling vvl witch over. If the witch is bad or cheap it could be going in and out of vvl.

b14 JWT tuned for VE Summit racing switch

Make sure its tuned for the MAF you are running and the proper injectors. Open the ECU up, call or email JWT and their techs will confirm what program you have. its a little while sticker inside

Its all confirmed I checked a while back it feels like the power is being cut from it like if I go into wot it bucks but if I come off and reengage the throttle it will rev but it also wont reach the rev limit

If you were to drive normally with like a cop behind you, would it buck at all?

No everything runs fine until I activate VvL
