Can't blame the towing truck for the road rash. That looks like high speed bottoming. One mph pull does not create all that damage, plus fresh damage does not rust up that quick.

Not really fresh, its been about 2 months since the tow

It happened well over a month ago.

So you'd just suck it up? not at least try? its not that hard when your brother is an attorney btw.

I would've been there and heard the damage and complained at the time. Were you there when they towed it????

Well thats the thing, it was towed twice. I have photos of each time actually but just of the car on the bed. I never heard or saw anything but it was at night both times and it's not exactly easy to hear over those trucks idling either. I think the tow arm lifted the car from off center and the weight of the car was lifted solely around the area of the oil pan/cross member instead of the tires/wheels and the operator didn't even know it. Then he adjusted it and pulled it up. The tow arm is more likely yellow/gold colored than the bed. There are definitive specks and streams of goldish paint on everything scraped, can't tell that well from the photos but you can in person.

unless you've been driving SR20's for 16 years, stop

..........Unless the engine is damaged, going through the headache for a 1-2 hour job of dropping and banging out the pan or simply getting another for 20-$40 is simply not worth it.............

There's something wrong. The oil came out with coolant mixed in.

My guess is you hit a speed bump at some point, seems like a lot of damage from a tow truck. Or while it was being towed he hit a speed bump or curb. I just had my car towed and when he put the arm under the car it hit the header, did no visible damage. I just dont see that damage from the arm of the tow truck.

What caused you to have the car towed 2 different times recently? What were the car issues?

That tow truck arm would have to be seriously bent, or the car was sitting in mud or rocks where an operator couldn't see.
