Thread: DE distributor wiring to DE wiring harness for VE swap

No idea, lol. THis is why I don't mess with wiring because of all the different colors. To me the "green" looks white and the white looks yellow.



Did this, and it sounds closest to starting, but just wont turn over. Going to try to jump the battery at the same time tomorrow, wondering if that could be the problem since non-colorblind people confirmed this is how it was setup

dude..what color are your eyes? Did you choose them to be that color? NO. Same way I didn't choose not to see color. It sucks. 10 percent of the male population has it. What can I do?? Nothing but rely on those who can see them.

Anyways, here is my harness pulled, and they are of course, different colors:

At least these 4 connect as male/female and these are in the right order, now I just have to backtrack where the end of them hit the engine wiring harness

After wiring my ve for the ve dizzy and then rewired for high port ignition, best advice is get a multi meter and a length of about 10 feet of wire to extend the probe length. Then just check which wire leads back to which ecu pin.

I found this pic of mine before, hard to tell though unless you guys can see the colors..

Yeah just use the ve dizzy. only reason I switched back was because the ve dizzy went bad

Ok, so the VE dizzy pigtail comes with 6 wires, do they all connect straight forward to the 4 wires from the harness that have been messing with in these photos, and 2 of them not used? I have the DE distributor on my car and never messed with this stuff.

All 6 are used. I'll look back on your posts and pics in detail tomorrow and see if I can give you a pin out
