Thread: maxing injectors on a ve.

Bit of a technical question...

Has anyone here ever maxed out their 333cc injectors on their 2.0ltr sr20ve? Could a future combination of dirty injectors, tired fuel pump or a choked fuel filter worsen this possible lean situation?

Change to 370cc injectors or raise fuel pressure? If favoring raising the fuel pressure, whats your favored way of doing this?

If you can watch inj duty cycle while under load that should let you if your running out of inj. I was seeing 75-80% duty cycle with 333cc inj on 202hp sr20ve at 40psi fuel pressure, walboro pump.

I switched over to 370cc injectors last weekend


Getting to them on a VE is abit tricky. Use a PH2 screwdriver bit, and use a hammer to tap on it to get the threads to loosen up. If you strip a screw, you're screw'd.


I reused all orings, but I got a leak on cylinder 1. I noticed this when I was priming the rail, and heard a "SPLOOOSH" sound.. Using some vaseline, and reseating the orings solved the leak.

Rescaling the tune was a breeze (Nismotronic)

what whp and what % duty cycle, if you know?

It's just a stock VE, but I'm running E85, so I need 25% more fuel than stock. With the 333cc's, I think I got over 80% duty..

What's the plan for ur setup?

no and those injectors are ridiculous to remove. A. Miko did a writeup somewhere on them how to do it check it out.

start small. check your fuel filter. did the car sit for a few weeks/month during the changing from winter to spring, with less than a 1/2 tank of fuel?
