but like I said, I've seen worse, and that motor is still running. Is there a start up warranty? I'd compression/leak down test if possible. And/or fill it up with a light weight oil with the valve cover off, and soak the cams in oil, pull the plugs out, and turn it over by hand maybe first. I'd hate to see the cylinder walls.. they're sometimes the most rusty depending on which valves are open while the engine sits
The motor was bought a few years ago for $1,700, shipped. No ECU. The shipper claimed they picked only good motors.
I was wondering about the rust on the big lobes, looks like the VVL might have not been working right?
