Bad advice right here. I took a multimeter and measured the resistance at room temperature on both sensors. There was a VERY big Δ-R..

Is it possible one was faulty? Does anyone have the ve fsm page that shows the nominal resistance for the ve sensor? If you think about it, there's no reason why the two should be any different.

the sr20ve number for a temp sensor is 22630-44b20. pretty sure this is the same as b14/n15 sr20de one, but not b13/n14 ones.

Hmm well I will get a new g20 sensor from my dealer this weekend to match my ecu and test both my current ve sensor against the g20 sensor. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But in theory they both measure the same thing so I don't see why they would be any different. I also know that with the ve sensor my ecu still turns the fans on at the stock 93 degree Celsius mark

My fans come on as they should also.

However i will change my sensor today as my car seems to load up on fuel under load. I'm sure it's got something to do with running on a factory RR map. I am running e manage ultimate so VE injectors are compensated for.

i can confirm that the n15/b14 sr20de coolant temp sensor is the same number as the sr20ve one...22630-44b20

I'm not doubting, I'm looking for input on this.

Hmm, it might have been the cluster temp sensor then that I measured then. After seeing that it was such a huge difference, I swapped both sensors (ClusterTemp&ECUTemp)

Maybe you don't have to change the ECUTemp?

I would definetly have to say the the 1 wire sensor for the gauge is the same.

I put my RR coolant temp sensor in and to me it feels very different.. Much better then the night before.

I also hooked up an AEM wideband. As stated in a previous post ^ I am running a VE motor on an 02 sport 32bit ecu and factory map as nothing has been altered yet with e manage ultimate. Under full load the AFR's are 10.3-10.5.. Very rich.

So for you 02 sport guys wanting to go VE an don't want to swap harness's and step down to a b14 ecu, e manage ultimate is a good option. It's very complex though and takes some patience.

Bump your timing up to about 21-23 if you are using the stock ecu.. Then tune the afr's... I had a 16whp gain or something like that just going from 13 to 23 or something... I now have nistune and my car is slow as shit compared to how it was before with stock ecu

Apparently I did not set my injectors correctly.

On e manage your suppose to set before and after for injectors... So in my case I now put "before" @ 259cc and "after" @ 333cc

Now my fuel maps changed big and idle became much better. After doing so part throttle suffered and WOT was now lean. Added some fuel and changed up the air flow adjustment map a bit at part throttle and it accelerates smooth.
