I would spend the extra money and purchase the Mishimoto unit, my friend just installed one in his Nx and that thing looks mint, That would be no doubt the route I'd go. The Gspeed radiators I hear 50/50 on those things ... so why take the risk all together...... I would not doubt you would have to make modification to make it work also. If your worried about the tsuru grill causing over heating, I never expirenced such a thing on daily/ drag car...... autox maybe ....possibly..... you would hace to talk to someone in that department.

Well since you're not smelling what he's stepping in (as usual) If you have a decent cooling setup and plan running the 206hp VE B13 hard "as god intended" the oil temps will show up as an issue before coolant temps.

If you want to tramp around in the right hand lane obstructing traffic waiting for WRX #44 all Summer just throw in a bottle of water wetter and start putting new notches in your bedpost.

I drive the speedlimit and up to 8mph over about 98 percent of the time. I apologize for the inconvenience. I was referring to him saying that I beat it all over town. And my car is NA how much HP do you expect it to make?

BTW it must be hard being so witty and smart, don't know how you do it

I would go with the Mishimoto unit. I ran a stock radiator with my n/a va with a bottle of water wetter and never had a issue. I use a koyo on my turbo setup.

Yep going with the stock one with the usual distilled water and water wetter. I had Koyo on my bolt-on 97 SE-R didn't notice a difference but then again wasn't really looking for one

Yes I run it. 50/50 mix + water wetter does the trick for me. And I'll do straight distilled water + water wetter for track days.

Back on topic, I am running a Koyo radiator, 1.5bar cap and stock fans. Though I have a N/A DE, my coolant on a regular day stays around 165* on average. Cold days my coolant gets as low as 140* driving on the freeway. On a hot 100* day in Cali, I'm right around 185*. At the track on a 80* day, my coolant hovers around 180*-190* with the car constantly being revved around the 6k to 7k+ range for numerous 25 minute sessions. The temperature readings are from the upper water neck so that's the hottest my coolant will be. If you plan to go with Koyo, the part number is R1977

I just got this mini tri-gauge kit that fits snugly under my HVAC in the dash and above the cup holders:

Yeah I know, Sunpro is not the best brand or anything, and 2 of 3 are mechanical, but can't beat 3 that for $28 at Autozone. I chose the white faces with black trim because my SE-R has white face gauges and well, black trim. It looks good.

I wanted to know what type of water temp gauge you have and if you needed to buy a special adapter to mount the sending unit on the upper neck?
