Yeh if u actually see how it works mechanically On a model the pin is situated further up it really makes sense , get more revs outta the engine I think its worth it ...

I'm building one and have talked to JE about the pistons in that article. Pistons are ~$800ish so not horrible in comparison to what else is out there already. Wiseco was in the same price range. However, you need to go down by 0.1" on rod length if you plan on going turbo. Compression height is too low. No piston manufacturer I talked with will touch it otherwise.
