Thread: Did ALL JMD SR16VE engines come with LSD tranny???

I'm looking to purchase an sr16ve motor and tranny from an importer. Guy says that not all sr16ve motors came with lsd? Correct? I thought they all did come with lsd.

I wonder the same thing...I have recently been seeing more 16ve come with non lsd....like on ebay an whatnot.
It almost got me once thinking the price was great,but only if it actually had a 16ve lsd trans
Thought maybe they did the old switcharoo with the LSD trans

Tell the importer to take a pic of the transmision where the axles go in. If there is a bulge, it's a lsd; if not, it's a non-lsd.

the all came fr factory with... however, only way to confirm yours will come with must be via pic fr seller

I know about the bulge for lsd on the driver side of the tranny. Guess the only way to be 100% is a pic. But, some places don't always show pictures of the actual product you're getting.

It sounds like you are making excuses for the importer. Now a days, most sellers have pics of the item they are selling, example our classified section. Common sense, if they don't want to provide you with one then move on.

If that 16ve straight from japan, yes it must be the 4.4 LSD.

If from europe, that i dont know.
