All depends on header and intake manifold used!!!
For example my setup with Tri Y header I could activate al low as 4600 with the 4-1 I have to activate cams a 5900 for best results!!
On stock SR20VE on stock IM and SSAC header 4600-4800 sounds spot on!!

what about with stock IM, N1s w/ springs & retainers and SSAC?

Dang, 6000RPM? Seems a tad high. Was this dyno proven? Hell, it takes me a whole 10 seconds to change the activation point, I could always give it a whirl. I'm still set at 5100 (with N1 cams and most other bolt ons)

For my car yes, I was reving to 9k at the time with very little power loss till 9k.

I have to set mine to 5900 on my setup with a 4-1 header
