
I was positively surprised when I for the first time took my SR20VE for a spin. Before I did the VE swap, I built a 2.5" freeflowing exhaust, with only a tiny straight thru muffler. It was LOUD with the DE, and I didn't like the drone when cruising.
After getting the VE in, I expected even more noise, because VVL you know...
I got: Silence!
I had no idea that it was so pleasant sounding at low lobes. I had even started planning for adding a more restrictive muffler. No need at all, much quieter than a DE!
But when the VVL hits... It's proper loud
