Or maybe buy a complete motor, trans, ecu, intake and header... I'm thinking about possibly selling my stuff..

You make it sound easy lol. Lets not forget he needs a good headder and intake system. Plus cams, springs and retainers. You would not want to build a 2.3 and be running around with everything else stock lol. Also some form or realtime ecu or standalone. I say if you doesn't have a minimum of 6k to spend dont do it.


No doubt about that lol. I am saying just to get the basic 2.3L bottom end built. Its not cheap by any means. Once the long block is done the expensive parts are also in intake/itbs, header, ecu, tuning, etc.

If you dont already have the car, you'll be spendiing $10k unless u find a really nice shell. If you find rust get that fixed because it wont be worth spit in 5 years even if you did all that work.

Actually I have a SR20VE 20v with some mods like tri y header, Custom IM , 4" TB, stand alone, 4.78FD, CAS, But I want more power like a 2.3 or 2.4
