Thread: Exhaust cutout on VE

When you say basic tune you don't mean the stock ecu and the AFC? or you have one of the old calum bins and your using the AFC to adjust the A/F?

afc neo, g20 ecu and a wideband.. Dyno tuned it and got a solid powerband

Got my exhaust cutout from @morgans432 and it is awesome... Very noticeable power increase just from this cutout and wow does it sound AMAZING when VVL hits! Had a few people piss me off (holding up traffic) and opened that shit up and floored it once I got next to them LOL I know I scared at least a few people

Hey be careful scaring people like that.
When I had my side exit exhaust on a VVL car a few years ago I had an eye opening experience doing that.
As I was passing an old lady ,the car hit VVL and trumpeted right at her drivers door.It scared her so bad she jerked the wheel to the left(swerved at me).I am sure thats a rare incident,but it sure made me think about it after that..lol

You should dyno the car back to back with it open and closed.I would be interested to see the gains.

I will 100% for sure... Leaned out my tune and picked up a few ponies just from that alone.. before leaning it out 60-80 went down .2 seconds and the 65-90 went down .4 seconds.. Then leaning it out plus cutout open it went down another .2 seconds from 65-90..

I'm doing it only to people who piss me off driving slow holding up traffic lol I could care less how bad I scare them if they want to act like assholes as it is, I'm heartless though lol

I dont care if it scares them,but I would care if they crashed into me as a reaction to getting scared shitless from the VVL poppin ,LOL

No joke haha it cracks vvl so hard and loud... Nodded the ecu crystal for fun and reving to 8k in 2nd chirped into 3rd woot woot

non vvl related but my datsun pickup was running open header for a while, i one time i stepped on it an the ol lady next to me about shit her self hahaha.. sorry jays story just reminded me of that..

a 2step while rolling could make this cut out much more fun
