Dude, fuck off. Go dig up the SCC magazine where Kojima talks about losing power with a stock SR20 with even a 2.5" exhaust or larger. I do know how these engines work, I changed a damned head gasket all by myself and you sit there and just bitch and moan.

As for my DE "build" as you put it, last year it was a daily driver that I threw cams intake and a JWT ECU on. It was not a "build" - not even close!! It was not tuned at all and it also had 206,000 miles on it. Damn. And just FYI, I had a 91 SE-R with the original DE motor and I put down 154WHP with bolt ons. I/H/E/S3 Cams/ECU/Pulleys, back in the day. The fact that you cited my 138WHP '97 SE-R DE with 200k+ on it that was my daily driver is ridiculous.

BTW you are aren't even a contributing member to this forum $$ wise. So I can post whatever I want, you're on this site for free, myself and dozens of others support this site w/ donations.

What is your guys opinion on a 2.5" power gain after the resonator or even just after the cat? Same power gains as 3"

hilarious.... but i did it with hand tools by myself in an apartment parking lot

why stop at 3"?? If 3" will make a stock DE so much faster, then 4" must be even better? right? but why stop there? how about 5"?

head gaskets should be done with hand tools only...

had to point that out, sorry. maybe this isn't the best example you should be arguing a point with.

go 3" seems to be the consensus. don't get crush bent, its a waste of money.

Looks like in addition to the cai, and timing he could have gotten more power. His afrs were off to the lean side during the run

so, back on topic, final decision for n/a "VE" with bolt on's and cam upgrades seems to be 3in. really wish i could see dyno proof, but the poll is leaning much more towards 3in. thanks everyone for their input!

still if anyone does does have dyno sheets comparing ONLY 2.5 to 3in exhaust on a ve, preferably with n1's at least that would be awesome!

Its leaner till 5000 rpm with mods and it does still made more power and much more torque over the stock. How its possible it gained 15ftlbs at 2500rpm? Is it due CAI and timing? I dont think so. If 3" was bad, it would loose and not gain.

Im not saying 3" is only way to go as I saw nice numbers even on 2.25" or 2.5" but 3" is just proven.

This is dyno of SR20VE 2.5" vs. 3" exhaust.
