Apparently I have an old style tensioner as well. Does anyone have the correct part number of the newer style?

Any nissan dealer will have the DET tensioner.

I do stock them here in New Zealand, i gather gspec has them too.

Actually, the N1 tensioner has the normal fat teeth and the rod is the same length. The rod seem longer because the mounting flange is thinner.

N1 is the top.

Look carefully where the oil can enter into each.

I see two pictures and three tensioners.

The one on the bottom is from my N1 motor, the top is from a 20ve both 1997 motors.

They are identical in every way, type of teeth, length of the rod, thickness of the mounting face.

I swapped out the one in my N1 for the revised type with smaller teeth.
