What RPM does your VVL activate at?
Just wondering. Mine made most power at 5100-5200RPM, adjusted via MSD 8689 window box.

It depends on your mods too, but I lost power on the dyno when I dropped activation point below 4900RPM

Intake cam- 5400rpms
Exhaust cam- 5600rpms

I set my vvl off point at 5200rpms off throttle. Vvl onset is very smooth and the engine never falls out of vvl on wot pulls between gears.

What module are you using to control the cams differently?

I'm running a Nemu nismotronic SA. This ecu is by far the best tuning option for our cars to come out In a while (bang for your buck). This paired with my 6spd trans changed how my car drives completely.

Oh how I'd love the 6 speed

5000 for both cams. over 70% throttle and coolant temp above 158 deg

again nemu for the win!

so you've set up those two conditions to be satisfied before the VVL will activate?

Both cams at 5000rpm. I tried activating them independently but I heard or felt nothing from the intake cam.

Its tough to hear w a loud exhaust. Just check it with out the car running to make sure its actually working.

I miss the days I ran my 2.0 w stock catback, it sounded sooo damn good when the intake switched
