For you All motor VE guys, what length is ideal for the runners?
All Motor, Port runner length depends on the power band you want,
but, it needs to be longer than that !
As stated above, it would probably work nice with a turbo !

As long as this manifold can net more whp than the stock manifold by 10-15WHP on his goal setup, I will consider it a win. Ideally we would like it to be longer for N/A, but our firewall can be unforgiveable. Hopefully this does well for him.

The good thing is that I not only have my turbo VE set up aside, I also have my brothers as well. So if I am not happy with the IM runner length, I can have them build another and keep this one for the other car

The suspension was great the entire time I had it. I sold the car 3 years ago and with my luck I got her back a few months ago. I started driving the car this week and the rears are leaking and its a little bouncy. The car basicly sat for almost 3 years but runs and drives great
It will be "ok" for NA, as in the engine runs, but it's far from the optimum runner length.
Depending on where you want the power to be in an N.A. application,
your looking at something like 10" or more from the intake flange outboard.
But it all comes down to "packaging"
and comprimising the runner length and plenum shape/size for fitment in the engine compartment.
With a Turbo design intake, it's more about reducing flow losses and the plenum size.
But one should still take flow balance to all cylinders into account,
that's where the central throttle position makes a substantial power differance !
