All cylinders were at about 210 PSI except #4 which was holding steady at 90 PSI.

cyl 1 and 4 are almost spotless.

2 and 3 have some wear, can't feel it with my fingernail though.

All intake valves look like this.

Exhaust valves for cyl 4. Leaking.

The rest look like this. The PCV valve was bad for a while, motor oil gets pretty dirty now.

Looks like it just needs a good tuneup. Since I pulled it from a P11 that is now for parts and the sr20de in my new g runs so smooth, I'm not sure I feel like doing anything with this VE. Not sure if it's worth it anyway.

Check valve sealing, im betting that is the culprit for the low compression. Should have done a leakdown test to be 100% sure before you tore it apart but any machine shop can do a valve sealing check using vaccuum

It was coming out of the car either way. It's old and wasn't sure if it was worth tuning up and replacing a '99 sr20de getting 34 mpg. Figured I'd look inside to see if it had any future. It was a daily driver and even went to Key West and back to MI. I put 130k miles on it in all.

Hmm you could sell it. It's certainly workable probably just needs some new valve seals.

Thanks. Not looking into putting any money into the VE. My de is running great. Maybe I'll clean it up and put new valve seals in it next spring.
