well i bought a sr16 head from jgy anyway i got to looking at the bottom of the head and all of the exhaust valves are slightly open on one side and there and no cams installed. the valves do not look damaged in any way.any ideas? on my other sr16 head all of the valves are perfectly flat with no cams installed.

Pics will help.......BUT the valves should not be open at all without cams in the head and even then they should not all be open. Good luck sounds like you might have gotten a lemon...

Another example of JGY quality. I've never seen it with the valves slightly open.

i will post up a pic as soon as i can. i just dont understand because half of the valve head is touching the cylinder the head and it is about a 1/16 inch from the head on the other side of the valve. and only on the exhaust side. guess it may be all bent exhaust valves?

Got to be the shippers fault, obviously they wouldn't ship a head with bent valves. How much did you pay?

Welp, it really depends on what was said. Jason will sell a bad head if you didn't tell him that you need an undamaged head, cause you didn't ask for it.

It's like that Richard Pryor movie..."Moving." If you saw it, you know what I mean.
