Thread: Where the heck is the idle adjustment screw? Did tuneup and can't find it Pic

Last few days I replaced all rusting clamps and cracking hoses in the engine bay, replaced any rusted screws, new spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body and reground the MAF.... and now my idle is all screwed up. Cold idle is too high then it dies once motor is warmed up when I come up to a red light or stop most of the time.

Edit: I fixed it, it wasn't the screw at all I was messing with the throttle plate/cable

from this angle check behind this hose that goes to the valve on the tappets cover....

There are two screws, the mechanical one on the throttle body and then the other on the IACV

And just so it's clear, you should NEVER have to adjust the one on the throttle body, and it is almost always a bad idea to do so.

Ok, I don't know why or if this is normal, but where it's circled, there is a 10mm bolt and not a "screw" - that's why I didn't see it.. it's not a screw at all but a bolt?

Sounds like someone fucked it uo.. does it work?
