I remember these arguments YEARS ago about DE's and peoples times in the quarter mile. Some folks just hit some super low times with a bolt-on modded DE(like 14.5) a tons of people called it shenanigans!

The local guys just said some people get lucky and get the freak motor.

It doesn't matter if its not WHP. The loss will always be about the same. Most of us here use the same FWD trans minus some different gearing. We DO NOT NEED TO DWELL on the numbers because there not WHP numbers. We can assume what the WHP is anyways. Give it a rest. Regardless this motor makes what the dyno says @ the motor. Easy on the poor guy!

The dyno look about right?
SR20VE(stock)
3"Inake
3"VRS Exhaust
Blox Velocity stack
N60 MAF
janky ass 2.25 SSAC header
Nismotronic SA
8lb Fidenza Flywheel
stock 234k mile trans

It was pretty intense a few times seeing this was my first time near a dyno let alone it being my car.

No, even though I don't know all the variables. Figures way too high for your set up.

Also a 198whp VE will make about 145-150 ft-lbs tq, seeing hp is a function of torque.

Peace

Why are you getting your panties in a bundle? He chose to post his numbers, we didn't ask him to. Expect people to comment on it. Further he asked if the numbers look about right and we are giving our views.

Also, I am used to dyno numbers posted as WHEEL hp, and not ENGINE HP. He didn't say which it was. If that dyno is showing engine HP, then his numbers are just about ok

Peace

I went out to the West Coast Convention drag day yesterday so I can get a 1/4 mile time to compliment the dyno pulls. I was able to make a 14.415 @95.94 mph run with a weak 2.199 60'. Couldn't be happier with the time I got on street tires.

Looks good. A 14.4 1/4 is generally gonna be about 180whp with a good driver as I understand the #s and in my VVL experience. I am glad you are really enjoying the car, and not sweating the mild critiques.

Time for some N1 cams

I'm a big believer in the "freak motor" and my thinking is that motors that were broken in hard tend to be the stronger ones. SRs are very variable and I've had a few that were like "holy moly this car is fast for; VVL, Boosted XYZ, mild bolt-ons etc." and some that were not so much....

It looks like you've got a good one there

94.5 MPH on the 1/4mile are 155-165whp trap speeds Most stock VE's here are more like 98-99mph with 170-180 whp even with those 60' and with 198whp should be 100-102 mph!! Take it to a Dynojet and watch the difference!! I can bet a 20-30 whp less than current Dyno!! Just Saying please dont take it personal but there its many people here that have a lot of hands on experience with VE's and also been drag racing Sentra's for many years so its easy to do the math!!!

Again, everyone could take a big shit on what I post but I am in no way shape or form taking anything personal. Its just a car and some numbers. Just posting up what I got and some 1/4 mile times to go with it.

I think the 198 is engine hp, not WHP

Hence the car should be about 170whp and ET and MPH would be spot on. Good if you ask me, on street tyres. 2.1 60' is also good on street tyres.

Peace
