P11 SR20VE - Wide or Narrow Block?
Hey guys,

I am in the process of getting a crank scraper and need to know of the P11 VE is a wide or narrow block? I am assuming it is a narrow due to being mated to a FWD box, however can anyone confirm? Or is it different between the P11 range?

If I remember correctly, all SRs except the very early FWD japan only ones are wide block. You getting the ishihara-johnson crank scraper? That's what I have on my built S13. It's a PITA to install, ha ha.

Thanks mate!

Yeah was looking at the I-J ones. It's for a dedicated race car, but I was thinking of just getting the basic one. How much of a PITA is it? LOL

No problem! I got the full race scraper & baffle setup. You have to do a lot of bending and trimming to get it to fit right, and the hardware is a bit tricky to work with (especially the oil pickup tube mounting tab bolt). Also, they take a very long time to get it shipped out (3 months). Plus since I take you're probably not in the US, it may take a little longer, lol. If you'd like, I can take a look at my P11 VE (it's on the engine stand) to see if it's indeed a wide block tomorrow, just in case. I will say that I have been very satisfied with the product after it was all installed though! Everything seems to be doing its job correctly

Edit: I was able to take a look at my p11 VE and I compared it to my S13 DET (which I know 100% is a wide block) and the VE is indeed a wide block.

I group the AWD SRs into the FWD platform, lol, probably because I come from the RWD SR world. But that makes sense about the transfer case.

You are the king, thank you so much!

Shame about the turnaround time, shipping to Australia seems to always take stupid amounts of time!
