Thread: Mazwork head stud kit

started to bolt me engine together on the weekend, and the torque for the mazwork head stud kit did not seem like a lot.

step one 45ft/lbs s
step two 65ft/lbs

they are not the 1/2" kit.

just did not seem like a lot at all.
what are peoples thoughts.

Do what they say and everything will be fine.

The numbers they provide are correct and work just fine if assembled correctly

i did 85/lb but my car is turbo

85lb is too high for the mazworx head studs. the numbers provided are correct. I would not exceed 5lbft over the specs provided.

yes i thought they were a bit low. but when you compare a stock bolt and to a good stud. i would assume they dont stretch anywhere near as much. hence the lower value's was my thought.

just wanted to make sure it was right and paper work was right that came with the packet that was all.
