Timing was set buy holding full open load at a given rpm I think it was 4000 rpm on the dyno then moving it advance or retard until it was spot on.

The throttle body is not mounted flat it kicks up about 50-60 degrees I can remember exactly of the top of my head
I let opening on head to butterfly is probably 3-4 inch if on the centreline of Port.
Throttle body's are BMW 50mm and engine size is 2ltr

The turn into the port on the intake is only 15 degrees.....why go radical at 50+ degrees of turn in such a short distance?
50 degrees should have been spread across 6-8 inches or more.
What pulley were you using when setting the timing? If stock, Did you verify that the pulley did not slip, causing timing marks to be skewed?
