Venus-Auto.com is where I got mine, and many other motors. Always have been good. Their website sucks and is never up to date. It's best to send Ron an e-mail (or call).

Have you considered:

JDM Engine Depot - They have VE's in stock @ $799.

JDM Engine Zone - They have VE's in stock @ $745.

My VE came from Japanese Engine Import | JDM Engine Importer and runs great. They're located in Manassas VA

a friend and i both got our ve's from http://jdmenginescorp.com they both were very clean. i only replaced the intake gaskets, installed n1 cams, and resealed the oil pan. mines been running great for over a year daily driven and no oil leaks at all. oh the oil filter housing gaskets leaked a little at first, but that was an easy fix.

I got a VE from Gspec, it was a couple hundred more but absolutely spotless inside and out. Runs like a champ. I heard Andreas Miko's engines are good too, I bought a tranny from him last week. It's flawless.

It seems to be hard to get those parts up here in good shape. I think our crappy roads shake the stuff to bits.

There's no good engine, exhaust or any kind of performance shops where I live. Everyone else has a Honda or Subaru, so I'm on my own with my poor P11 VE. I'll just have to dig in and learn how to do a rebuild. Any way the stock motor is going back in and the VE will get something...

Tell the UPS guy to put Road Magnet springs on his truck, the ride is great!

Seriously though, the motor I got from Gspec was palletized, shrink wrapped and ratched 4 ways, it wasn't gonna move an inch. The tranny I got from Miko was packed better than grandmas fine china.
