Its A PAR tranny with straight cut gears.with tight ratios from 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

the real load on the tranny is n 1st gear because it is very long after that the tranny will see less load on the shifts from a standard trans as it goes through the gears

The highest numerical diff does not always give the best results.

The trans gears were calculated around the stock 4.16 FD and it seems to be working best with it. I personally would have thought the 4.44 would have worked the best. I guess as the HP goes up you can stretch out the gears without any negative affects.

Wish I could spend a little cash on a drag car but times are tight right now.

Anyway great job. I cant wait to see Jamie Marsh get his gears in and see what he does.

Not sure where I will cross rpm wise compared to Pito but I'm sticking to the 4.4fd in the PAR box for now.
