Thread: What type of motor oil do you use in your SR20VE (viscosity, not brand)

15-40 ams oil. Was able to feel the differnce after useing rotella for a long while.

I have always had good luck with Castrol in all of its forms. The b13 gets 5w40 Syntec and is changed between 1500-2000 miles because that's about as much as it gets driven in a year lol.

no one knows what oil nissan recommended for the sr20ve?

A lot of Subaru guys have gotten burned by Mobil 1. Also if you read up on the German Castrol the 0w-30 acts like a 40w when it gets really hot so it can handle some heat. Never run VVL out in the desert (AZ CA etc ) though so....

I have always used 10w40 I will also run this in my new turbo motor.

Shell t6 is the shit..
