Not tied to a brand but using 10W40 on my daily SR20 RR (change every 4-5000miles) and 10W40 on the trackcar (change every 4th trackday)

Depends on what engine I'm putting the oil in. In my det I used 10w40 AMS oil high zync. In my daily b15 with 280k I use Shell or Castrol 10w-30 non syn. In my suby I'm using castol 5w30 syn but will be switching to AMS oil soon.

I'm not a fan of Mobil 1 or Royal Purple.

0w-30 German Castrol both VVL cars I had. I'm also a really big fan of Amsoil.

Also another thumbs down for Mobil 1. I've heard they have changed it again but when they changed the formula in 07-08 it became total shit overnight and I have not gone back to it. 10-12 years ago it was the gold standard and I believe it gets a free ride on that legacy.

We prefer Amsoil as well here at the shop. We use Amsoil Dominator race oil. Doesn't break down as fast as other off the shelf synthetics. VR1 is also another good oil. We steer clear away from Mobile 1 after the nightmare we had with RWD sr20det and 3 sets of Tomei cams.

10w40

Penrite HPR5-40 synthetic in winter, Penrite HPR10-50 synthetic in summer, HPR has zinc added, changed 5000 km. I am in Australia.

Only Mobil 1 oil I would use would be either 15w50 racing or 0w40. Wouldn't touch the other Mobil 1 oils even if they were free. Rockin' Shell Rotella T6 Synthetic 5w40, awesome stuff for daily & track use. German Castrol 0w30 is a very good choice too. Here in AZ the heat gets crazy so for the VE need to go a bit thicker oil on the high end of operating temps. Was 119 degrees 1 week ago and has been consistently above 110 for a while now. Unreal.....
