I have run mobil1 5w30 for years,in many sr20 cars with no problems,and occasionally German catrol ,if I can find it.Pretty much always change the filter and oil at 5000,unless it does a trackday.
I recently switched to Rotella synthetic T6 5w-40(changed before going to the convention).It had great oil pressure,and still looked great after flogging the car at the roadcourse and on the dragstip.
I think I am gonna stick with that for a while since it is cheaper than mobil1,and rumor has it Mobil1 has changed their formula,so I dont know what thats all about.
I bought my frontier in 05 new,and used mobil dyno oil until 15,000 changing every 3000,then at 15,000,I switched to Mobil1 5w30 ,changing the oil and filter every 5000,and have never run anything else.
The truck has just over 100,000 miles and is clean as a whistle inside,no problems whatsoever.Still runs like new.More than likely I will keep using Mobil 1 in it,and rotella in the SR20(VE) motors
