Ha some great replies here. Well I got my snows on today at a friends house with a heater

Took it to a street covered in snow, and it is allot better all around.

Before I was having trouble getting going on snow period. Now it will grip considerably more under start and breaking is much better too.

I got allot to learn, but luckily I seem to be really cautious in snow, and it has kept me out of bad situations....

Think I am going to throw in a 50lb bag of something in the trunkamadoo too, just to help even things out. I remember last season with the same tires, it was a little wishy washy in the back. But just going slow kept it under control, yet I'm sure this will help a little. Supposed to get 6inches tomorrow, can't wait to take the B13 out in the middle of it to try the tires...don't worry I will drive slower then a grandma on oxygen

Jer, I do have a video from when I first got my exhaust on. I made it souly for people looking into the same setup, so you will have to excuse my ricyness, however I was trying to get all rev ranges. As I'm sure you know, my in car shots do the exhaust no justice, it has gotten considerably louder, and you still cannot tell with inside video. One of my plans this vaca is to get some outside videos, however I am still trying to find a place I feel comfortable pulling through 2nd, that is closed off.....

The crossover outside the car is unreal, its pretty loud, and is only raspy right at the crossover from what I hear...

The problem with b13/b14 sentras is that they are too light for decent traction.

My 2nd winter with them on my B13 SE-R, with worn-out LSD.
Hakkapeliittas are awesome. A side street by my house always gets plowed last, if at all - 2 blocks long with a decent grade. Coming home after the last big storm, it was not plowed yet, 5-6" of snow, maybe more. I plowed right through it, uphill, even paused at the yield sign after 1 block. The whiteline brace was scraping/plowing the whole way. It kind of sucks in winter, cringing with every chunk of snow in the road, hoping it clears and that it's not frozen solid/ice. I guess I need a sharp blade on the whiteline brace, lol.

Yea, I need to invest in some decent snows, right now I am running some pretty cheap ones, but they get me around. I am going to put some weight in the back for winter, to help calm the rear end down a bit, hopefully that will help out....

I am used to the lack of traction it is there all year around I think it makes it easier to drive in the snow because I don't get freaked out when the car starts to plow. I am starting to have some fun with left foot braking and a little gas around some turns in the white stuff. But I have to shed a tear thinking about all the salt about though

LMAO, U guys in the south dont know what snow is. LOL. I use to drive my old 91 se-r daily year round with snows and lowered and never had any problems. I think thats because i knew how that car reacted so well b/c i was puttting around 40k a year on it though. You have to take your time, plan your stops, and be easy on the gas, and make sure to make no sudden jerks with the steering wheel. Also the e-brake helps you corner better!!! LOL

Don't let the tire guy fool ya.(at a shop) All seasons are just all seasons (aka cheap winter tires). You don't need to spend $80 bucks a pop on tires you only will be riding on 3-5months out of the year.

Just cause el cheapo sounding name brand makes some all seasons doesn't mean they are poop for tires. I bought a set of ... hell i can't even remember the name it was so generic. An they got around in the snow like they were friggin blizzak winter tires!! Only spent $200 for the set of 4 tires.

Also, if your back end is swaying around it might be because your rear tires are a lil bald. If you start to go around a turn or gradual curve and your back end starts to swing wide like the Dukes of Hazard. Then... there's a good chance you have bald rear tires, and they are causing this.
(was fun for me, till my back end swung out on the interstate when I was going 65 around a bend, and I about **** my pants cause I thought I was gonna scrape up against the wall... I bought some all seasons for the rear after that).

My Hankook snows were a little more, but not that much at ~65/tire. Since I run Kuhmo MX's on both my B13 and U13 for street, which have fantastic traction, except on snow ("Not Applicable"), I either get snow tires or park the car. A/S are particularly useless on ice compared to a studless snow tire.

You don't have to pay a lot, or buy well-advertised brands (i.e. Blizzak which IMHO are overrated). But anyone would (or should) tell you that A/S radials are just a full time compromise. Why would you want to compromise wet and dry traction 12 months a year? Guess it all depends what you want...for me a tire with a 300-350 wear rating typical of A/S radials is not what I want to drive anytime of the year, not when I can have a sticky 140 in the MX during the rest of the year.
