Well, good thing is it warmed up to -3C today. I wouldn't be able to live in such cold weather for too long either.

Ha.
I dunno, not being able to use 1st and 2nd is really annoying! It was -11 tonight in my dads car.

My blower motor fan started squeaking in this weather, and my power steering squeaks when its this cold too...

I have to clean out my iacv as my idle hunt is even worse now that it is colder...

try out the hakka 5's they have out now, 2's are old school. very expensive tires for a b13 but i am a dealer so i get good deals on them. nokian makes the best snow "tyres" around but you have to pay for them, not neccessary but nice to have. balance and experience help the most in snow. the wr's are sh*t tires, they are not all season and wear like crap, drive on hot pavement and they will be noisy and choppy. try out the wr-g2's. those tires just came out but they are a great tire, far better than the original wr's. the only thing is they have a 30 day test drive and a road hazard warranty.

It was a bit warmer today, but wet. I tried to mash the gas pedal a bit to remind me of the VVL sweetnes. The result: I broke traction in the first 3 gears when switching to the hi-cams. Still a lot of fun, though

Your SE does have an LSD, right? What are you using for a clutch?

If you can't get traction in warm wet weather, that sure defeats the point of the power for about half the year...

Yes, I have an LSD and the stock 2001 SE clutch. However, note that I am also on 185-wide winter tires and the stock suspension (I swap to Konis/springs and 225-wide R-Comps (yes, I use race tires on the road) during the summer).

I don't drive the car that much during winter, and it sees more mileage on the track than it does on the road throughout the year. Last year, 90% of the mileage it did was either at the track or getting to it. So, using its full potential only half of the year is still good. I'm even thinking of putting it away during winter in the next few years.

It's not a 100% dedicated track car, but almost.
