What does your dynometers read? Flywheel HP or WHP?

Peace

I believe the 187 was flywheel hp

That's a bit low with bolt-ons. Wonder how many miles would have been put on that motor before it was acquired

Peace

We have seen a few N1 Pulsars on a certain dyno here in New Zealand. To put things into perspective, a good VZR sr16ve will put down around 100 to 105kw atw, a fairly stock sr20ve with manual trans will do anything from 115 to 125 atw, depending on mods and tuning. Of the 2 N1 i have known of, both have been under 200kw atw with standardish setups, ie 1600, only pod filter etc, no tuning.

that was a freshly rebuilt motor i think but on a standard ecu tuned for 99 octane and we only have 95 octane fuel so that would make a big difference. vzrs tend to make better power then n1s on 95 octance

Re: sr16n1 stock
Freshly built motor yes , but the car has fidanza flywheel and deleted ac , wp, ps which would easily make up 10-15 hp and negate any diff in fuel. Basically imo factory figures are optimistic to say the least , 187 hp is still very good tor a 1.6

WOW, 113torque @ wheels, that's stock SR20DE numbers, or less. But if you like it that's all that matters.

Storm88000 you realize this is a 1600cc motor and will make less torque than a 2000cc motor no matter what!!

These guys amaze me with these statements. Its a damn 1.6 people.

180 WHP from a 1.6 is solid. That motor with a SR20DE gear box with 5.0 FD would be am absolute killer.
