Se200 I know your motor is long gone and I'm sorry you ran into some misfortune. I know you could care less if people believe the dyno #s or not. But I'm curious about numbers on the dyno screen you posted. Could you translate it since the pic is so small. Specifically four numbers correlation to max power, wcf and max torque, wcf.

Those are the hp # I wrote. The motor is just fine the trans exploded. I'm almost done done with a 6spd swap and I'll get more numbers, but I will be running a new header and this flywheel clutch combo is heavy compared to my last setup. I'll keep this updated. I just get tired of ppl saying things can't be done. This has happened for yrs when my t25 turboed de whent 12.9 in the 1/4 7yrs ago everyone said it can't be done but now everyone knows its possible. Two yrs from now we will have ten cars making 200whp on stock sr20ves and it won't be ?ed.

I have a similar setup minus the header and I made 193whp on my best run

One of the runs,

All I can say is that the Q45 TB and Nismotronic RT are a great upgrade

Ok, we know you posted 202 whp and 160 ftb, but what were the other two numbers? Did the 202 and 160 come from "Max Power" and "Max Torque" or "with WCF"?

Was it:

Max Power: 202.2
with WCF: ?

Max Torque: 160
with WCF: ?

OR

Max Power: ?
with WCF: 202.2

Max Torque: ?
with WCF: 160

Nicoxis's pic is a good example of the four numbers I'm looking for.

Well, I was hoping Se200 would be more forthright with the numbers. Without him providing the two other numbers, I would have to conclude the 202.2 whp and 160 ft/lb came from Max Power and Max Torque row, which mean the numbers are UNCORRECTED. No SAE correction factor was applied.

For the Mustang dyno, Max Power and Max Torque numbers = Uncorrected.

With WCF(Weather Correction Factor) = SAE correction factor applied

SAE correction factor = 77* F / 29.23 InHg/ 0 Humidity

Uncorrected means the car will make different numbers from morning to night, day to day with exactly the same setup because temperature and atmospheric conditions are constantly changing. On a day colder than 77 degree F, the Max Power and Torque numbers will be bigger than the WCF numbers. On a hotter day than 77*, the Max Power and Torque numbers will be smaller the WCF numbers.

If you want know if a certain mod made a gain, then you have to use the correction factor, in this case look at the “with WCF” numbers.

Lets look at Nicoxis’s dyno. It’s a good example since it has all the relevant numbers(Max Power and with WCF) we are talking about.

In Nicoxis case, the numbers we should really be looking at is the 183.6 hp and 159 ft/lb from the “with WCF” for the reason mentioned above. It’s SAE corrected.

While the 193 hp, 167 ft/lb should be ignored since it is uncorrected.

I don’t know about everybody else, but making 183 hp on a stock block and cam VE is more in line with what I was seen than 193.

The car makes what it makes on the dyno. Dont like it keep on going, but stop being an ass about it. Sometimes "good stuff/good job" is all that needs to be said and move on. Same deal when ppl want to use correction factors atthe track, car runs what it runs no need to guesstimate what it "should" make/do at certain onditions. Fuck that

Se200 keep doing your thing. 5speed drop it. People like you is what keeps others away from sharing, nitpicking kills sharing faster than anything else.

Wow, chill… I don’t know how I have offended you personally. If you have a problem with me, just private message me.

I’m not the ill of this forum like you make me out to be. You are giving me too much credit for what people share or don’t share. I have no control over what people share or don’t share. This is an open forum.

What I wrote was directed at the general audience to help people understand the variation between dynos by using Se200 and Nicoxis’s numbers.

If I happen to offend anybody and have to apologize for it, it would be to Se200 and Nicoxis, since I use their dyno numbers as example, and not to you P10FTW.

I don’t post much, and of the many different subjects on this forum, I still have been very interested in subjects relating to vvl dyno numbers, and I’m sure so have others. Lets face it, it beats the “what the best to oil use” thread, “what best filter”, “what size exhaust to use”, “what rpm to trigger vvl”, “what valve springs to use”, and so on. So, what I wrote was out of enthusiasm for the subject and meant to encourage a discussion. If you are bored with the topic, just move on and don't click on the thread, don't reply to it.

I will continue to share whether I’ve been offended or dislike a particular person on this forum. There are more friends than enemies.
