VVL Oil Pump on DE Bottom End
So I sourced a VVL oil pump for a friend who is running vvl head on sr20de Block.

I suggested to him to get the VVL Crank Pulley as well, but he stated that the mech says the vvl oil pump will work with the de Crank Pulley just fine. Further discussions with a close friend revealed that the de crank pulley would need to be machined or else it will damage the vvl pump.

Can someone shed some light?

I will also be sourcing the key for the vvl pulley for him.

Thanks

I had to use the VVL Pully and the GSpec Spacer on the VE/DE Combo. I tried it without the spacer and cracked the inside of the pump. If he tried tightening it down and can't get the motor to turn the damage is done. Time for a new pump.

The de crank pulley will damage the ve pump as far as I know. Just play it safe get a sr16 crank pulley and spacer from Andreas miko.

Thanks.

Can the de strainer fit onto the vvl pump? Guess drilling a few more holes in it too

VVL Oil Pump on DE Bottom End
The crank pulley has nothing to do with it. It is the spacer that is used. You must either get a vvl crank spacer or the one gspec sells.

Not sure you are correct. We have the vvl crank spacer. But that with a De crank pulley wont work unless the de crank pulley is machined as some guys here do it. To be on the safe side, I will ensure he uses the vvl oil pump, vvl spacer, vvl crank pulley.

Peace

Well thats odd, because I used an old nx2000 pulley when I fist installed my engine, then swapped it out for a b14 pulley.
